10 Magic Kingdom Characters Disney Veterans Love To Meet

Disney Characters

The Magic Kingdom is quintessential Disney. It was the first park at Walt Disney World and is for many of us, the first Disney park we went to. Throughout the six different-themed lands of Magic Kingdom, guests are able to meet, greet, and rub elbows with some classic Disney characters. Here is our list of the top ten characters to meet on your next trip to the Magic Kingdom!

10 – Pooh and Friends – Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood visit with guests who are dining at the Crystal Palace. They walk around between tables saying hi, posing for pictures, and signing autographs during all three meals at the Crystal Palace. We love these character interactions at meals because it allows us to check two things off our to-do lists – eating and meeting characters!

9 – Main Street Characters – in the Town Square area, as well as down Main Street and into the Hub, various characters are available to guests throughout the morning and early afternoon. On a recent trip, we’ve seen Marie from the Aristocrats, Pluto, Mary Poppins, and one of our personal favorites, the Mayor of Main Street!

8 – Merida – Merida’s meeting location is somewhat hidden, but extremely well-themed. Guests can find her in the Fairytale Garden that is located on the path that separates Fantasyland from Tomorrowland. It is hidden right before the Chesire Café. We love meeting with her and seeing her surroundings!

7 – Aladdin and Friends – located in Adventureland, Aladdin makes appearances with his friends throughout the day. On some days, you are able meet Aladdin and Jasmine, while other days Abu is meeting with guests. Not many Disney fans are aware of Aladdin being in Adventureland, as well as in Morocco at Epcot, but it is a lot of fun to grab a Dole Whip or Citrus Swirl and chill out in line.

6 – Tarzan and Jane – occasionally, also in Adventureland, Tarzan and Jane are available to visit with guests across from the Sunshine Tree Terrace right next to the Swiss Family Treehouse. We love it when they are visiting with guests as they are not always available. Be sure to consult your Times Guide to see if they are available on your trip!

5 – Chip and Dale – usually during the afternoons, Chip and Dale meet with guests adorned in cowboy hats and Western wear right at the entrance of Frontierland. We love meeting with them because either before or after meeting with them, we are able to grab a corn dog, some popcorn, or a pretzel to satisfy our stomachs!

4 – Classic Disney Princesses – we cannot ignore that the Magic Kingdom is home to many, many princesses. Guests can meet with them across the park. Princess Fairytale Hall is home to Cinderella, Rapunzel, Anna, and Elsa. You can also find Belle, Ariel, and Sleeping Beauty in various locations in Fantasyland. All of these character interactions are extremely popular, so be sure to grab a FastPass or an advanced dining reservation if you want to meet with them!

3 – Toy Story Characters – after getting soaked splashing into the Briar Patch at Splash Mountain, guests can meet Woody and Jessie at the exit to the ride. We have noticed that there is rarely a long line to be able to meet with them, so it is a definite must-do for us on any trip!

2 – Classic Disney Characters – until recently we were unaware of the character treasure trove that was available for guests in Storybook Circus at Pete’s Silly Sideshow. Guests can meet 4 characters at this location – Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy. Since it is located in a back corner of the park, it is generally easy to get into and after you’re done, you are able to go into Big Top Souvenirs for a snack!

1 – Mickey Mouse – you can’t come to the Magic Kingdom without meeting Mickey Mouse. Guests wanting to meet him need only to stop by Town Square Theatre. This Mickey Mouse is interactive as he will actually have a conversation with your family before posing for a photo with you!

A lot of other characters call the Magic Kingdom home, so be sure to check them out, as well, but these ten of our favorites! Who do you have to meet when you visit the Magic Kingdom?
