10 Perfectly Personalized Souvenirs from Walt Disney World

2. Pick a Pearl

Speaking of the World Showcase, a quick jaunt over to the Japan Pavilion will bring you to the massive Mitsukoshi Department Store. There are many interesting gifts worth purchasing here, but there’s no topping the Pick-a-Pearl station.

After purchasing a pearl ticket from any register, you’ll eventually be called up to choose an oyster from either of two tanks. A highly enthusiastic employee will then cut open that oyster, and if they find a pearl inside, you get to keep it! The pearl alone is a pretty cool, unique thing to have, but you can have it set in a piece of jewelry for an additional fee if you like. Some oysters even have two pearls inside, so who knows, you might get extra lucky!
