10 Things We Love About Disney’s Boardwalk Inn

Each Disney World resort has a little something that makes them wonderful. One favorite is Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. It has many, many unique features that other resorts simply don’t have.

10. Boardwalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas

There’s nothing better than being able to step outside your door and being able to get a refreshing margarita or Pina Colada. Prices are pretty reasonable, compared to other places, but quality is certainly not compromised.

9. Jellyrolls

This is a great place for guests who are 21 and over. This fun piano bar is open late and the entertainment is always fantastic. The Atlantic City Dance Hall is also an honorable mention. And both are just steps away from the resort!

8. Resort Pool

One thing Disney does not skimp on is luxury and attention to detail, and their pools show that. Complete with waterslide and giant clown head, the Boardwalk’s main pool is carnival themed and nothing short of amazing. Plus two leisure pools, for those who prefer a more calm setting.

7. The Boardwalk Bakery

Even if you aren’t staying at the Boardwalk Resort, this place is a place you must visit. There’s carrot cakes, cupcakes, fruit tarts, and all are delicious. It’s the perfect place to go for a quick breakfast or an after dinner dessert.

6. Accommodations

When people say Disney does it better, they aren’t lying. If you’re doing Disney, staying on property really is your best choice. The accommodations are one of a kind and beautiful, to say the least.

5. Scenery

There really is nothing like a Disney resort. From the time you pull up, you will notice the Boardwalk Inn has instant charm. Once you walk through the lobby outside, the beauty of the water and the gorgeous landscaping immediately takes your breath away.

4. Atmosphere

The atmosphere of this resort is nothing short of perfection. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the villas have recently been updated. The atmosphere of the lobby and surrounding areas is lovely. Light and fresh paint colors with some incredibly interesting details, including a half horse, half sea creature chandelier!

3. Nightlife

One of the biggest draws to the Boardwalk Inn is its active nightlife. If you arrive around 9 pm, you’ll see that it’s filled to the brim with guests, street performers, and so on. Restaurants stay open late, and you can even catch fireworks if you’re there around that time.

2. Dining

The Boardwalk is lined with many restaurants, and as I stated before, they stay open very late. There’s dining options for any price range. Pizza by the slice, if you want something cheap and quick, ESPN Club or Big River Grille for a sit-down restaurant that won’t break the bank, or Flying Fish Café, if you prefer something fancier. Each place serves fantastic food.

1. Location

Last but not least, the location. Location is huge when staying at Walt Disney World Resort, and the Boardwalk Inn is in a great location. It’s just a boat ride away from Epcot or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In fact, there’s even a walkway you can use to walk to Epcot. Not to mention, it is just across the water from Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts.

Overall, Disney’s Boardwalk Inn is a wonderful resort. I highly recommend checking it out, even if you aren’t staying there. There’s plenty to see and do, and it makes for beautiful pictures as well.
