10 Things We Love About Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

Saratoga Springs Resort, located in the Downtown Disney Resort Area, tends to be a rather underrated resort. It’s not nearly as popular as Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort or even Disney’s Polynesian Resort, but it’s still a wonderful place to stay. With it being such an overlooked resort, sometimes guests miss some of the things that make it so wonderful. We’ve come up with a list of 10 things we love about Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa.

10. The Lobby

One great thing about Saratoga Springs lobby is that it’s connected to literally everything. Although the lobby isn’t super grand like many other deluxe resorts, all you have to do is literally turn the corner and you have everything you need. The gift shop, quick service restaurant, and even the table service restaurant are all connected to each other. So walking is minimal.

9. Golf Course

Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is actually located right at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, the perfect place to stay for avid golfers. Not only is it the perfect place to stay if you are planning to golf, but it also makes for beautiful views.

8. The Water Transportation

One of the best things about Saratoga Springs is that it’s located in the Downtown Disney (Disney Springs) area. They have a water taxi that takes you over to all the shopping and dining. It also takes you to the other hotels that are in the Downtown Disney area. It’s a really enjoyable ride, much better than the busses, in my opinion.

7. Turf Club Bar and Grill

The Turf Club Bar and Grill is Saratoga Spring’s sit-down restaurant. It’s a great place to eat if you aren’t on a budget. The menu isn’t big, but it’s definitely quality and quantity here. You’ll most likely have leftovers.

6. The Scenery

The scenery throughout Saratoga Springs is lovely. You’ll notice you even get some fantastic views of Downtown Disney, especially if you walk along the water. Not to mention the buildings are painted fun colors and even have little hidden Mickey’s on the balconies.

5. The Theme

The theme at Saratoga Springs is great. It often gets criticized because it isn’t as obvious as say, The Polynesian or Animal Kingdom Lodge. But if you really pay attention, you’ll notice little horse or horse racing details throughout the resort and villas. This is because New York in the 1800’s and horse racing inspire this resort. Some people prefer a more pronounced theme, while others enjoy the subtle details here.

4. Artist’s Palette

Artist’s Palette is Saratoga’s quick service restaurant. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It has unique offerings, such as Panini’s, salads, and even a meatloaf entrée. Food here, in my opinion, is above average for a quick service restaurant.

3. The Pools

The pools on Saratoga Springs property are nothing short of amazing. First off, I cannot stress how clean and beautifully well kept each pool is. Not only does Saratoga Springs have one pool with a slide, but it has two! In fact, it has 5 pools all together!

2. The Villas

One of the things that makes Saratoga Springs stand out is their beautiful villas. Most of them have been recently refurbished. They are big and nicely decorated. They also each offer big balconies or patios for siting and enjoying your gorgeous view.

1. The Location

By far, the best thing about Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort is its location. It’s located in the Downtown Disney resort area and it’s literally a walk away. That’s right, you can actually walk to Downtown Disney from your resort. You can take a water taxi or a bus there as well; both are only a short ride away. If you love spending time in Downtown Disney, this is definitely the place to stay!
