5. Take advantage of military offers
Obviously you shouldn’t join the military for a Disney discount, but if you or a family member is in the service you are eligible for some of the best discounts at Walt Disney World. Military members are eligible for special tickets called Disney’s Military Salute, typically offering a 4 or 5-day park hopper pass at a highly reduced rate. Discounts are also available for hotel rooms. Perhaps the biggest savings is staying a Shades of Green, a military owned and operated resort just across from the Polynesian. The price of a stay at Shades of Green varies by pay grade, so lower ranking military members will pay less. My family has stayed at Shades and we were completely blown away by how great it is!
