8. Skimping on Disney Springs

The renovation of Disney Springs has made this tip timelier than ever before.  If you do not allocate ample time to enjoy Disney Springs you are doing Disney wrong.  Many guests are surprised at how much there is to see, do and eat at Disney Springs.  Consider spending a day outside the parks just enjoying Disney Springs, you will not be disappointed.

9. Traveling During Peak Times

If you do not take advantage of lower traffic times at the resort, you are doing Disney wrong.  Obviously, you have to travel when school and work schedules permit.  However, researching crowd trends to understand when most people visit Walt Disney World, and avoiding those times can pay off big time.  This could be as simple as taking the family vacation the day the kids get out for the summer in May and not in July or slipping away for a fall weekend trip to save on hotel, dining and ticket costs.

10. Running on Your Regular Schedule

Disney guests that try to run on their same schedule from home will likely be disappointed with what they see and do at Walt Disney World.  Disney works best when you are willing to throw the schedule to the wind and book dining, fast passes and other activities, as they are available. Sure, you do not need to be in the park every waking moment, but being willing to stay up a little later or eat meals at different times than you generally would at home can really pay off schedule wise on a Walt Disney World vacation.
