11 Best Times Of The Year To Visit Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World Resort is one of the best places in the world, so technically-speaking there’s no bad time to visit throughout the year. That said, there are of course extremely busy and expensive times, so if you want to make the most out of your visit – and why wouldn’t you? – here are the 11 best times of the year to visit the resort.

1. When the Kids are Back at School

Visiting Walt Disney World Resort when the kids are back in school is a great idea. The last half of August and some weekdays throughout September are among the quieter times, and also slightly cooler than the heart of Summer Break (late May to mid-August), so do take advantage of the absence of the resort’s target audience!

2. Weekdays in October

Most weekdays throughout October are considered to be reasonably-priced, and depending on when exactly you visit you might even see some spook-tastic Halloween decorations. Halloween itself on the other hand is probably worth avoiding – and not because the entire resort will be haunted (which it will be), but because you’ll turn white like a ghost yourself when you see the crowds!

3. Weekdays in November

Avoiding the week of Thanksgiving also makes sense – you’ll save lots of patience and money at the same time. Besides, you can experience the same festivities on either side of this week if you visit close enough. Just stay away from weekends during this month – or perhaps as a general rule of thumb altogether.

4. Just Before the Week of Christmas

The weeks leading up to one of the busiest weeks of the year are only marginally quieter, but you won’t want to miss out on Walt Disney World Resort’s festive celebrations, as everything from attractions and parades to characters and buildings are given a merry makeover. You may even find that some Disney Resort Hotel prices are slightly cheaper at these times, too.
