Mickey Waffles

Besides all the park hopping, the shopping, and the character meet and greets, you can’t forget to save time for all the fabulous dining Disney World has to offer. Besides its world-class table service restaurants, Disney also has fantastic character meals, and delicious, budget-friendly quick-service restaurants. So we’ve come up with a list of 12 of our all time favorite meals at Disney. Some might be old favorites, and some may be brand new, either way, each and every one is delicious!

12. Cheese Empanadas- La Cantina de San Angel

Located on the water in Epcot’s Mexico pavilion, La Cantina de San Angel is a fabulous place to stop and have a quick bite to eat. The cheese empanadas are scrumptious. They’re filling and come with a delicious Mexican slaw on the side.

11. Crispy Chicken Breast- Turf Club Bar and Grill

The Turf Club, located at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, isn’t a well talked about restaurant. But it should be! The crispy chicken breast is fantastic. It’s definitely quality and quantity here. Aside from the chicken, it’s served with homemade macaroni and cheese and crisp green beans.

10. Margarita Pizza Flatbread- Gasparilla Grill

The Gasparilla Grill is located just inside of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. It’s a quick service restaurant that feels more like a casual sit down restaurant. The restaurant itself is newly decorated and the cast members bring your food to you. Also, if you sit outside, you have a gorgeous view of Cinderella Castle. Anyway, there are many great meals to choose from on the menu, but my favorite happens to be the margarita pizza. It’s fresh, its delicious, and it’s a great break from the burgers and fries.

9. Breakfast Lasagna- Crystal Palace

Breakfast lasagna, either you love it or you hate it. You can find it at the Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom. It’s a mix of waffles, pancakes, berries, and a bunch of other things. One thing you can’t deny, it’s definitely a unique dish!

8. Shrimp and Scallops Pesto Pasta- Big River Grille

This is a great dish, but it’s extremely overlooked. Big River Grille, located on Disney’s Boardwalk, is extremely overlooked in general. The pasta, served with penne noodles, shrimp, scallops, spinach, and a creamy pesto sauce is truly delicious. Perfect if you are craving a great pasta dish, but something a little different than the usual ones.

7. Bread Pudding- Ohana

Ohana, found at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, is a fun place to eat for the whole family. And a trip to Ohana wouldn’t be complete without some of its signature bread pudding! So make sure you save room for it! Warning: It’s extremely good!

6. Rotisserie Chicken- Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe

Cosmic Rays is a fantastic place for lunch or dinner for the whole family. It’s a quick service restaurant and it’s located inside Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom. The rotisserie chicken is one of my favorites because it’s much better than any “theme park food” I have even had. First off, the chicken is wonderful and plentiful. Second, the green beans are to die for. In fact, I tend to order them every time I visit Cosmic Rays. And the mashed potatoes are great for a hungry stomach. It’s around $10 and worth every penny!

5. Grilled Tenderloin of Beef- Chef de France

Chef de France is located in the France pavilion at Epcot, naturally, and serves fantastic dishes. The best is easily the beef filet. It’s tender, it’s tasty, and all around well cooked. It’s also served with a potato gratin and crisp green beans.

4. Pan Asian Noodle Bowl- Kona Café

Kona Café, located inside Disney’s Polynesian Resort, offers Asian inspired dishes. Every time I’ve ever heard anyone try the Pan Asian noodle bowl, they have loved it. And I have to agree. It’s very tasty and extremely unique. You can get it accompanied with chicken, tofu, shrimp, or a vegetable option with no meat.

Liberty Tree Tavern is a unique place in itself. It’s located in Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom, and is complete with colonial style décor. For dinner there is only one option, the Patriots Platter. It’s served family style and comes with turkey breast, carved beef, sliced pork, mashed potatoes, vegetables, stuffing, and homemade mac and cheese. These classic dishes are sure to please the whole family.

2. Tonga Toast- Kona Café

Another must have at Kona Café, is Tonga Toast! It’s basically French toast with delicious banana filling, topped with cinnamon and sugar. It’s different, yet totally mouth-watering! You can only find it at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, so make sure you stop by!
