15 Things Every Walt Disney World Rookie Should Know

8. Know Your Travel Times

No, I’m not talking about the flight or drive from your hometown, I’m talking about travel around the Walt Disney World Resort! Remember that Disney World is really, really big (are you sensing a theme here?). Pay attention to the estimated travel times that WDW provides. You want to get to Magic Kingdom for a dining reservation at Be Our Guest and you’re staying at the All Star Music Resort Hotel? The bus ride alone is over twenty minutes, and you still have to get through security and to the back of the park. Be sure to leave enough time to get to your destination early so you don’t miss one of your precious dining or Fast Pass+ reservations!

Laurel took her first trip to Walt Disney World when she was only 18 months old and hasn’t stopped visiting since. Now she enjoys taking her own twins and husband as often as she can. And don’t tell the boys, but sometimes she goes without them, too.
