5. Restaurants
At the end of Main Street, U.S.A., there are two great restaurants – one counter service and one table service. On the left hand side, guests will find Casey’s Corner which features a variety of hot dogs and other traditional American fare – they are definitely inventive with toppings on their hot dogs – guests will also love the outdoor seating overlooking the Hub, as well as the piano player outside who entertains guests while they dine.
The other restaurant is the Plaza Restaurant that also serves a variety of burgers and sandwiches – we love this restaurant for the views, the menu, and the ability to get in without a reservation. You’ll definitely want to make room for one of these restaurants on your next trip!
6. Main Street Windows
The windows along Main Street tell the story of the men and women who helped Disney World come to fruition. Be sure to look up for familiar names to the Disney World story. You can also find information about the Main Street windows on-line so you can understand the stories and the history of the park even more!
7. Flag Retreat
Held each day, guests are invited to the flag retreat in the center of Town Square. Depending on sunset, the time varies, so be sure to consult the Times Guide. What we love the most about the flag retreat is that guests who have served in the armed services are invited to participate in the ceremony and receive the flag that was flown that day. It is definitely an emotional experience to watch this ceremony and is definitely something that you’ll want to see!
Main Street can easily be overlooked by guests when visiting the Magic Kingdom because of the temptations of Tomorrowland and the thrill of Frontierland, but take some time at the beginning or the end of your day to explore Main Street and to find some new fantastic experiences!
