8 Things We Love about Cosmic Rays Starlight Café in Magic Kingdom

Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe

There are places located throughout every Disney Park that have been there for a very long time, but simply cannot be replaced. Cosmic Rays Starlight Café is one of them. It’s located in Tomorrowland right inside of Magic Kingdom Park. It’s certainly unique, but it’s also a fantastic place to stop for lunch or dinner. Here’s a list of the 8 things we really love about it!

8. Wall Outlets

Yes, this seems ridiculous to those who do not use their phones excessively, but if you have ever spent a whole day at Magic Kingdom and find your phone dying halfway through your day, you know how important this is. If you snag a seat in the back corner, by the washrooms, along the wall are a couple outlets. Plug your phone in while you eat and by the time you leave, you’ll have at least a little bit more juice to get you through the rest of your day.

7. Plenty of Seating

It’s past lunchtime, everyone is hungry and cranky and the last thing you want to do is wander around with your food looking for a place to sit. Luckily, Cosmic Rays Starlight Café has plenty of tables and chairs available, so you shouldn’t have a problem finding a place to sit right away.

6. Carrot Cake

You’ll see carrot cake on the menu at many Disney restaurants, but there’s something extra delicious about the kind sold here. It’s the perfect way to end your meal, and the perfect way to use your snack credit!

5. Generous Amounts of Food

One of the best things about dining here is it’s a great place to go if you’re really hungry! The amount of food served on each plate is well worth the money. For example, the half rotisserie chicken, which is a little over $10, also comes with a good amount of mashed potatoes and green beans as well. Probably more than you would get at any sit-down restaurant!

4. Reasonably Priced

To go along with my previous point, the meals here are really not too bad. For items like burgers, chicken nuggets, and hotdogs, you aren’t going to be paying over $11 for any of these. Each of these also comes with your choice of apples, vegetables, or fries. Not bad at all, especially for a theme park.

3. Quality of Food

Speaking of theme park food, this is not your average, mediocre theme park food. It’s actually very good. The quality is definitely there. Plus there are options here that you don’t normally find at quick service restaurants.

2. Stunning Views

If you manage to stop and eat at a time when it’s not so crowded, you might get a seat near a window facing the castle. If you’re like me, I use any chance I get to stop and stare at Cinderella Castle, especially while I eat!

1. Sonny Eclipse

Also known as, everyone’s favorite entertainer! He really makes this restaurant unique and has you coming back time and time again! Maybe it’s the nostalgia or maybe it really is his funny jokes, either way, you can’t eat here without stopping and listening to him for a minute or two.

It’s easy to see why this quick service restaurant has been around for a while. With its delicious food, great location, and fun entertainment, it’s the absolute perfect place to stop for lunch or dinner… or both! There’s enough items on the menu to try something different each time!
