8 Things You’ll Love About Toy Story Land

It is hard to believe that Toy Story Land is approaching one year of entertaining guests who visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And soon, crowds will be flocking to Black Spire Outpost in Galaxy’s Edge, so guests choosing to visit this land will have much more time to explore this well-themed land. Here are eight things that you’ll love when you visit Toy Story Land!

1. Alien Swirling Saucers

One of the two new attractions at Toy Story Land, Alien Swirling Saucers is a modified-spinning attraction perfect for the whole family. Guests climb aboard their ride vehicle and are spun around on spinning plates barely avoiding colliding with other guests on the attraction. Guests can grab a FastPass+ for this attraction, but we’d recommend saving your selection for Slinky Dog Dash (if you can get it)!

2. Amazing Theming

Guests will marvel at the theming in this land. Guests are shrunk down to the size of toys and explore Andy’s backyard and his creations. We love the Tinkertoys that mark the landscape, as well as the game boxes and drawings. Eagle-eyed guests are sure to notice the footprints throughout the land from when Andy built the land, as well as the rollercoaster!

3. Character Experiences

Throughout the land, guests will have the opportunity to pose for pictures with some of their favorite characters from Toy Story like Buzz and Woody. However, guests are sure to love the interactivity that Sarge and the rest of the Green Army Men offer. On a busy day in the land, these guys will entertain guests with drums, as well as other interactive games. Much like the Citizens of Hollywood, these characters are attractions in themselves.

4. After Dark

To decorate the land, Andy chose to use old Christmas tree lights and dangled them around from the various attractions. This unique lighting choice makes the land feel distinct from other lands throughout the theme parks. Guests brave enough to ride Slinky Dog Dash can also enjoy a breathtaking view into Galaxy’s Edge!

5. Amazing Meals

Woody’s Lunchbox is currently the only location in Toy Story Land where guests can grab a meal on-the-go. Guests are able to order from this counter-service location via Mobile Ordering in the My Disney Experience app for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We recommend guests try the BBQ Brisket Melt for lunch or dinner and if you are dining there for breakfast, try the S’more French Toast Sandwich! Lines can get long here, so we highly recommend using Mobile Ordering.

6. Toy Story Mania

Even though this attraction pre-existed Toy Story Land, Toy Story Mania saw some changes with the completion of Toy Story Land. The entrance was re-oriented so guests enter and exit from the Toy Story Land area. Wait times have been reduced with an addition of a third track, but guests can still have a huge amount of fun tossing darts, rings, and balls at various targets throughout the ride!

7. Delicious Desserts

Regardless of whether you are dining at Woody’s Lunchbox for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, guests will want to save room for dessert. You’ll be able to top your meal off with either a chocolate-hazelnut or raspberry tarts. They are so good, you may want to avoid having to choose and just order both!

8. Slinky Dog Dash

The crowning achievement of Toy Story Land was the creation of Slinky Dog Dash. This coaster is unique because it offers guests TWO launch points on the ride! Additionally, while described as a family coaster, it offer thrills for everyone. This coaster is definitely more thrilling than 7 Dwarfs Mine Train. While a FastPass+ is recommended, this ride is so much fun, we wouldn’t mind waiting in line (and enjoying a delicious lunch box tart)!

Toy Story Land is a great addition to Hollywood Studios offering something for everyone in the family! Have you been? What is your favorite thing about Toy Story Land?
