8. Purple Wall Attire
It is fun to see how social media and vacation/Disney enthusiast blogs have shaped park culture. One of the best examples of this is the well-known “Purple Wall”. The Purple Wall is just that- a Purple Wall between Tomorrowland Terrace restaurant and Tomorrowland, in the Magic Kingdom. What started as guests taking photos at the wall, morphed into an Instagram account for the Purple Wall and later themed merchandise created by individual Etsy sellers. Within the last few years, Walt Disney World has caught on to the Purple Wall craze. They themed merchandise (and recently a new drink) to pay homage to the Purple Wall we know and love. Purple Wall souvenirs are quite popular in the parks and on DIY sale sites like Etsy.
