D23 Reveals 2022 Lineup of Member Events

D23 just revealed the lineup of member-exclusive events for 2022 and shared the news that in-person events will be returning to Disney’s official fan club next year! After more than a year of virtual screenings and panels, we are thrilled to see the return of in-person events, and the lineup looks like there is something for every kind of Disney fan.

D23 EXPO 2022: The Ultimate Disney Fan event will take place September 9, 10, and 11 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center. At this event, fans will learn all of the latest news from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and more and see a first look at plans for the Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary celebration. Panels and presentations will also be livestreamed so fans can take in all of the latest news from home on all things Disney including film, television, streaming, theme parks, live entertainment and more. Tickets for the D23 EXPO 2022 go on sale January 20, 2022.

During the WALT’S MARCELINE event, members will have the opportunity to explore Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri and see the inspiration for Disneyland’s Main Street U.S.A. firsthand. During this limited capacity, full-day event, members will also be able to enjoy local eats and speak to special guests.

On January 24, 2022 members can celebrate the life and legacy of Walt Disney Archives founder an Disney Legend Dave Smith during his Disneyland window ceremony. A special presentation just for D23 Gold Members will also take place during park hours.

2022 marks the 50th anniversary of ‘Bedknobs and Broomsticks!’ D23 members can celebrate the occasion where the film was created, at the Walt Disney Studios lot, with screenings and displays from the Walt Disney Archives.

‘Star Wars’ fans will be able to enjoy a D23 member-exclusive Galactic Member Mixer during the Star Wars celebration in May 22 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

In 2022, Guests will be able to return for in-person events at the Walt Disney Studios, and D23 members will be able to explore the studios on an official tour. They will also see the Walt Disney Archives and Walt’s office suite.

Additional milestone anniversary events will be planned, both virtually and in person for films like ‘Lilo & Stitch’ (20th anniversary); ‘Hercules’ (25th anniversary); ‘Aladdin’ (30th anniversary); and ‘The Muppet Christmas Carol’ (30th anniversary).

Disney Theatrical will host exclusive D23 nights just for members with special member tickets and Q&As with cast members at shows around the country including ‘The Lion King,’ and ‘Frozen.’

A new virtual event series will debut in 2022 featuring Disney Imagineering milestones from parks around the world.

And, last but certainly not least, signature events will take place around the country in the form of traveling exhibitions, exclusive movie screenings, and more throughout the year!
