Pirates of the Caribbean Breaks Down Amid Widespread Outage
For over 50 years, Pirates of the Caribbean has been a staple attraction at Disney parks worldwide. From its original Disneyland debut in 1967 to its Magic Kingdom Park opening in 1973, the ride has inspired everything from theme park expansions to Hollywood blockbusters starring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Guest Complaints About Pirates of the Caribbean
Pirates of the Caribbean has long been a controversial attraction. In the late 2010s, Disney Imagineers removed the infamous “bride auction” scene, replacing it with female pirates leading a more modernized storyline.
The attraction also made headlines in 2023 when a TikTok user went viral after saying she felt uncomfortable riding Pirates of the Caribbean.
