Public Nudity Just Became a Big Problem at Disney’s EPCOT

The Germany World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT recently experienced an unexpected and eye-opening addition to its beloved Romantic Road Miniature Train Village—and it wasn’t exactly family-friendly.

EPCOT guests flock to the Germany World Showcase Pavilion for the scent of Werther’s Original caramels, the giant soft pretzels, and the chance to meet Snow White. But there’s a hidden gem tucked away in the Germany Pavilion that’s captured the attention of guests over the years—The Romantic Road Miniature Train Village.

Originally created for the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, this Tiny Village became a permanent fixture due to its immense popularity. The miniature town features a working train, well-kept landscaping, and many tiny surprises for those who stop to admire the details. Over the years, the display has been the site of several viral updates, from tiny construction sets to romantic stories played out among the miniature villagers.

However, this week, Walt Disney World Resort’s Tiny Village debuted a very unexpected—and, for some, disturbing—addition. On Tuesday, WDWNT reported seeing two nude female figures added to the scene. These figures were placed facing a tower, exposing their backsides to guests.

Since the figures were much smaller than the typical residents of the Tiny Village (and because of their uncharacteristic nudity), it’s likely these new additions weren’t an official part of the display. It’s more probable that they were the work of a creative and sneaky EPCOT guest who decided to pull off a prank.

Disney cast members were reportedly spotted working on another part of the Romantic Road Miniature Train Village on Tuesday, suggesting that the figures might have been noticed and quickly removed. However, Disney Fanatic could not confirm whether the nude miniatures had indeed been taken down or were left as part of the public display.

Walt Disney World Resort tends to avoid commenting on pranks like this, as doing so could inadvertently encourage similar behavior from other guests. Official rules at all Disney parks, including EPCOT, prohibit leaving unattended objects in public areas.
