A mother recently shared a deeply uncomfortable experience involving a Disney cast member who, according to her, obsessively questioned her about breastfeeding while walking through the park. The guest, who took to social media to share her story, expressed her discomfort and wondered whether the incident warranted a report to Disneyland Resort management.
As most Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort guests know, the magic of the parks is made possible by the dedication of tens of thousands of cast members. These employees undergo extensive training, not only in their roles but also in etiquette, ensuring that they provide the best experience for every visitor. However, as the mother’s experience shows, there are occasional exceptions.

While enjoying her day in Disneyland Park’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the guest—who goes by u/Powerful-Singer3192 on Reddit—was pushing a stroller as her husband bottle-fed their baby. The mother stopped for a moment to dispose of a coffee cup when she was interrupted by a male Disney cast member.
“Caffeine transfers over you know,” the Disney cast member reportedly said.
“I honestly did assume he meant bc of the baby,” she recalled, brushing it off and replying “Oh, okay,” to indicate that she wasn’t interested in continuing the conversation. Unfortunately, the interaction didn’t end there.

“He persisted and said ‘Are you breast feeding?’” the guest continued. “And I immediately (rubbed the wrong way and uncomfortably) said ‘No I’m not’ and just looked away from him and to my partner again, insinuating I didn’t really want to talk to him… He kept talking to me saying caffeine transfers when [you’re] breast feeding, ‘I remember when my kids were young my wife would label her breast milk AM and PM because one makes them sleepy and one wires them up…’ and kept [talking].”
Despite her obvious discomfort, the guest chose to walk away from the interaction.

“I’m not confrontational and also this was my first trip post partum,” she explained. “I felt uncomfortable and he kept talking about breast feeding to me (we literally were feeding him a blue similac formula bottle so you could literally see the label similac…) idk should I have reported it??? I felt bad I don’t want someone losing their job but also you shouldn’t just walk up to women and ask them weird stuff.!???”
The mother’s post quickly attracted comments from other Disney Parks fans, many of whom encouraged her to report the cast member’s behavior.
“Report CMs like that, please,” u/brergnat wrote. “He actually deserves to lose his job over that. It’s inappropriate and insulting. We need to stop allowing bad behavior from people because we don’t want to get them in trouble. They NEED to get in trouble so they can learn that you cannot treat people this way and keep your job.”

“I would have gone to city hall, civilly,” u/4apalehorse agreed. “It did need to be noted.”
If you ever feel uncomfortable due to a cast member’s behavior, report it directly to Guest Services at the park or via the Disneyland Resort website.
