A moment at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is making waves online after a guest’s slip on a water slide drew mixed reactions—and a lot of attention.
In a TikTok video that’s racked up over 41 million views and 3.5 million likes, a mother is seen attempting to go down a slide with her child sitting on her lap—something not allowed on the attraction. A nearby cast member approaches to stop her, informing her that the slide cannot be used in that manner.
Before the cast member can fully intervene, the guest tries to place her child onto a neighboring slide. But instead, she ends up slipping, sliding down the attraction while still holding her child, who descends backward.
The footage, uploaded by creator @francellabadelom, features the trending Jet2 Holidays TikTok sound—used in many videos that pair vacation mishaps with humor. This same audio was used in a viral Peter Pan’s Flight video, reinforcing a social media trend of turning awkward moments into shareable content.
Still, not everyone found the moment amusing. Comments quickly poured in, with some criticizing the mother’s decision to ignore safety rules, and others pointing fingers at the cast member for not stepping in sooner.
One popular comment read: “The employee kinda made the situation worse. It was a lot safer to leave [you], cause 1, it was too late to ask you to get off and she should’ve been watching from the start and stopped you before you both sat down.”
Another asked a question many were thinking: “like where was she leaving thr child anyways??? alone at [the] top of the slide?”
There’s also debate over where exactly the mother was trying to direct her child, since the second slide isn’t visible in the video. Several viewers were concerned that she may have been attempting to leave the child with other guests at the top of the slide.
Clarifying the moment, the video’s creator responded to one comment saying: “Lol no, I was just trying to get her on the other tube so we could slide together, but it didn’t work.”
The comment threads beneath the video sparked long conversations, with some threads reaching over 150 replies. Opinions are sharply divided—some see the mother as careless, while others believe the cast member should have been more proactive.

Blizzard Beach is one of two water parks at Walt Disney World Resort, alongside Typhoon Lagoon. On May 21 of this year, all six Disney parks were open at once—a rare and exciting occasion for fans. However, Blizzard Beach is set to close again in September 2025 for seasonal maintenance, as part of Disney’s ongoing efforts to maintain safe and enjoyable experiences for all guests.
