New Zootopia Bucket Hits the Parks — Collectors Bracing for Chaos

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is preparing for one of its most notable updates in recent years, and with that change comes a new piece of themed merchandise that is already drawing attention. Beginning November 7, guests will be able to purchase a new Zootopia-themed popcorn bucket in honor of the park’s newest live show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether.

This popcorn bucket features Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde inside a vibrant transport vehicle styled after the equipment seen in the new show. The design includes Zoogether Day logos and themed graphics, along with a matching lanyard so guests can easily carry it throughout the park. It’s colorful, character-focused, and clearly made to appeal to both popcorn bucket collectors and Zootopia fans.

You’ll find the bucket at Trek Snacks, Mahindi, and Chakranadi — three snack kiosks located near central pathways of the park. While Disney has not stated how long it will be available, merchandise tied to new attractions tends to move quickly, so guests who want one may want to plan to arrive early in the day.

The bucket’s debut coincides with the official opening day of Zootopia: Better Zoogether, the show replacing It’s Tough to Be a Bug! inside the Tree of Life theater. The show brings guests into the world of Zootopia during Zoogether Day, a holiday that celebrates community and unity. Using a watch-party concept set across different biomes, the performance blends humor, storytelling, and a few unexpected twists that keep things from going too smoothly for Judy and Nick.

Before its public debut, the show is being previewed by Cast Members, Annual Passholders, and Disney Vacation Club Members — a standard step for new entertainment offerings. Feedback from these previews has already helped build anticipation for the show’s launch.

This moment represents a significant transition for Animal Kingdom. The park has long balanced nature-focused education with storytelling, and Zootopia marks a continued move toward incorporating more cinematic characters into the park’s offerings. Whether guests see this as a major milestone or simply a fun new addition, it’s clear that Zootopia’s arrival is intended to introduce fresh energy into the park.

For those visiting this fall, the popcorn bucket isn't just a snack accessory; it’s a commemorative way to mark the beginning of a new chapter at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. With the show and bucket launching the same day, November 7 looks like it’s shaping up to be an exciting day for fans — and a notable date in the park’s ongoing evolution.
