Holiday magic has arrived at Walt Disney World Resort — and this year, it’s causing quite the scene. Guests visiting Disney Springs were surprised to discover that a train had seemingly “crashed” right into the World of Disney store after the installation of a brand-new Christmas merchandise display.
Holiday Transformation Begins at Walt Disney World
As soon as the clock struck midnight on November 1, cast members across Walt Disney World Resort began transforming the parks, hotels, and Disney Springs into a winter wonderland. Even though the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event won’t take place until November 7, the holiday spirit is already in full swing at The Most Magical Place on Earth. From trees to garlands, festive treats, and themed displays, Disney has once again gone all out for the season.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort without a fresh lineup of holiday merchandise. The World of Disney store — the largest retail location at Disney Springs — is filled with exclusive souvenirs, apparel, and collectibles designed just for the season. This year, the centerpiece of the display features Experiment 626 “crashing” in with a mischievous holiday takeover.
Stitch Strikes Again

On November 3, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @magiccitymayhem shared photos from inside the World of Disney store, revealing a nearly life-size steam train that appears to have “crashed” into the middle of the holiday display. The festive setup includes railroad crossing signs, traffic lights, and themed Lilo & Stitch (2002) merchandise.

Festive Finds and Stitch-Themed Souvenirs
Fans who can’t make it to Florida this season can still bring home a touch of the holiday cheer. The Disney Store website has released a matching festive collection that includes many of the items featured in the World of Disney display.
The Stitch light-up holiday figure, showing the alien tangled in Christmas lights and dressed as a reindeer, is available for $129.00.

Cozy Stitch and Angel plushies retail for $29.99 each, perfect for cuddling under the tree.

For a more miniature touch of Stitch this holiday season, the Lilo & Stitch Sketchbook Ornament sells for $29.99, while the candy cane ornament retails for $26.99.

Christmas Comes to Disney Springs

Disney Springs is home to some of Walt Disney World Resort’s most elaborate holiday decorations. In addition to the Stitch “train crash” display, the shopping and dining district features dozens of elaborately themed Christmas trees, twinkling lights, and special window displays. The annual Christmas Tree Stroll is also expected to return this year, inviting guests to explore a trail of uniquely decorated Disney-themed trees throughout the property.
