Disney Park Adds Extended Hours, More Entertainment Options

For guests used to wrapping up their day early at Walt Disney Studios Park, the change will feel dramatic. Nights at Disneyland Paris are about to get longer, brighter, and far more complicated—especially for visitors hoping to see everything before heading back to their hotel.

What appears at first glance to be a simple hours adjustment is actually a strategic shift that reshapes how guests experience Disneyland Paris after dark.

Disney Adventure World Officially Replaces Walt Disney Studios Park

Beginning March 29, 2026, Walt Disney Studios Park will officially reopen under its new identity: Disney Adventure World. With that rebrand comes a major operational upgrade. According to hours published on the official Disneyland Paris website, Disney Adventure World will operate daily from 9:30 a.m. to 10:40 p.m., seven days a week.

That closing time matches Disneyland Park, which has long held a late-night advantage thanks to its nighttime entertainment and fireworks. Until now, Walt Disney Studios Park typically closed at 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and 9:00 p.m. on weekends, leaving evening crowds concentrated almost entirely in Disneyland Park.

This alignment signals a clear message: Disney Adventure World is no longer meant to be a half-day park.

Frozen World Drives Demand for Longer Nights

A key driver behind the expanded schedule is the debut of Frozen World, a new immersive land inspired by Frozen that Disney expects to be a major attendance draw. With attractions like Frozen Ever After, themed dining, and character experiences, Frozen World is designed to hold guests well into the evening hours.

Disney has increasingly used extended park hours as a crowd-management tool, and this move follows a familiar strategy seen at other global resorts: distribute demand across more hours rather than packing guests into shorter operating days.

For Disneyland Paris, which serves a high volume of international travelers and multi-day visitors, the change helps position Disney Adventure World as a full-scale destination rather than a supplemental experience.

Disney Cascades of Lights Introduces a Second Nighttime Show

At the center of the extended hours is Disney Cascades of Lights, a brand-new nighttime spectacular debuting nightly over the lake in Adventure Bay.

The approximately 16-minute show is designed as a 360-degree experience and features an ambitious technical setup:

  • 379 aerial and aquatic drones developed with technology partner Dronisos

  • Low-altitude aerial drones flying up to 45 meters high

  • Aquatic drones—nicknamed “ducks”—gliding across the water

  • 32 fountains, four massive water screens, and pyrotechnic effects

  • 240 light sources forming a dome over the lagoon

The show is engineered to be more wind-resistant than previous drone productions, allowing performances nearly every night of the year, with alternative versions available during extreme weather.

The soundtrack includes re-orchestrated Disney classics, a new adaptation of “Light Blue,” and an original anthem, “We Can Be Heroes,” recorded at Abbey Road Studios with a 90-piece orchestra. Characters featured span Hercules, Mulan, Up, The Avengers, Zootopia, and Moana.

Disney Cascades of Lights is currently scheduled for around 10:30 p.m., just minutes before park closing.

Why Guests Can’t See Both Nighttime Shows

While Disney Adventure World debuts Cascades of Lights, Disneyland Park will continue presenting Disney Tales of Magic at a similar time each evening.

Disneyland Paris officials have confirmed that guests cannot realistically experience both nighttime shows on the same night. The parks are too far apart, showtimes overlap, and moving between parks late at night would require precise timing, a multi-park ticket, and near-perfect conditions.

This is a notable departure from some other Disney resorts, where nighttime shows are occasionally staggered. At Disneyland Paris, guests must now choose.

What Guests Should Know Before Visiting

For visitors planning trips in 2026 and beyond, preparation matters more than ever:

  • Choose your nighttime show in advance and plan park days around it

  • Expect heavier evening crowds at Disney Adventure World, especially during Frozen World’s opening months

  • Arrive early for Cascades of Lights, as prime viewing areas are likely to fill quickly

  • Avoid park-hopping late at night unless absolutely necessary

Guests staying multiple nights may want to dedicate separate evenings to each park’s nighttime entertainment to avoid rushing or disappointment.

A Strategic Shift for Disneyland Paris

Extended hours at Disney Adventure World mark a turning point for Disneyland Paris. By offering two late-night parks with distinct nighttime shows, the resort is signaling a more balanced, immersive experience—and asking guests to plan smarter in return.

For those willing to do so, the reward is simple: longer days, brighter nights, and a Disneyland Paris experience that finally feels complete on both sides of the resort.

Since first stepping inside the Magic Kingdom at nine years old, I knew I was destined to be a theme Park enthusiast. Although I consider myself a theme Park junkie, I still have much to learn and discover about Disney. Universal Orlando Resort has my heart; being an Annual Passholder means visiting my favorite places on Earth when possible! When I’m not writing about Disney, Universal, or entertainment news, you’ll find me cruising on my motorcycle, hiking throughout my local metro parks, or spending quality time with my girlfriend, family, or friends.
