Disney quietly axed the final performance of one nighttime parade, which has now ended for good.
Nighttime parades were once a defining feature of Disney parks, but largely disappeared from the United States in the late 2010s. Magic Kingdom’s Main Street Electrical Parade ended its most recent run in 2016, leaving Walt Disney World without a regular nighttime parade for nearly a decade.

That tradition has recently returned. In July 2025, Magic Kingdom debuted Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, its first new nighttime parade in years, while Disneyland revived the LED-filled Paint the Night parade for its 70th anniversary celebration in 2025, continuing performances into 2026.
Further afield, however, Disney has kept up the tradition for years. With the exception of a break for COVID-19, Tokyo Disneyland has hosted its nightly parade, Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade: DreamLights, since 2001. It’s also hosted a rainy day alternative, Nightfall Glow, since 2011.
Now, one nighttime option is gone for good.
Disney Axes Nighttime Parade
As of yesterday (March 31), Nightfall Glow is no more.
Tokyo Disney Resort has officially axed its alternate nighttime parade, meaning rainy days will no longer include an option for guests.
Thank you, Nightfall Glow ☔️✨
It was my favorite parade.
A happy parade where Clarice is guaranteed to appear.
So many memories, and I can’t forget the floats shining in the rain.
I hope there will be a successor

大好きなパレードでした。
クラリスが確定で出てくれる幸せなパレ。
思い出も沢山あって、雨の中で輝くフロートが忘れられない。

While March 31 was pegged as its final day in January, guests were unclear when Nightfall Glow would hold its final performance due to the fact that it’s only performed on occasions when the conditions are too poor for Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade: DreamLights.
It was initially announced that Nightfall Glow would go ahead last night after rain fell at Tokyo Disneyland. However, when the rainfall and wind proved too strong, Nightfall Glow was also axed, meaning guests were denied the opportunity to catch the parade one last time.

When it ran, the shorter parade featured four illuminated floats and characters, including Mickey, Minnie, and Disney princesses.
Tokyo Disney Resort hasn’t announced a replacement for Nightfall Glow. Judging by the responses on social media, it will be a deeply missed fixture at the park.
“Thank you so much for about 15 years,” wrote one user on X, formerly Twitter.

Another said: “This is the final day too. I couldn’t get one last proper look, but it kept me entertained so much for such a long time. There were times I didn’t have the stamina to last until night lol, but I loved it so much that I’d wait just for Glow… I was soothed by the fantastical floats and music. Rainy days will feel lonely now.”

Fans have also noted that Nightfall Glow was one of the few places where you were guaranteed to see Clarice – a rare Disney character who debuted in a 1952 Chip and Dale short, Two Chips and a Miss.
Yesterday also marked the final performance of Club Mouse Beat in Tomorrowland at Tokyo Disneyland. This is set to be replaced by a new 25-minute show, The D-Groovationz4 Live: Happy! Funky! Groovy! Tour, in September 2026.
Other Disney parks typically do not offer an alternative to their nighttime parades if canceled due to weather.
Magic Kingdom hosts a short character cavalcade when the weather makes it too dangerous to perform its regular daytime parade, Festival of Fantasy. The Rainy Day Cavalcade features characters in ponchos on Main Street Vehicles.
Disneyland offered a regular substitute when A Christmas Fantasy Parade was canceled due to the weather over the holiday season.
Did you ever get a chance to see Nightfall Glow?
