For more than eight decades, Batman has remained one of the most constantly reinvented characters in pop culture history.
From Tim Burton’s quasi-gothic take on Gotham City in Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992) to Joel Schumacher’s neon-soaked Batman Forever (1995) and Batman & Robin (1997), every filmmaker has left a distinct mark on the Dark Knight.

Christopher Nolan grounded the Caped Crusader in realism with The Dark Knight trilogy, Zack Snyder delivered an older and more brutal version in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), while Matt Reeves brought audiences a darker detective-focused interpretation with The Batman (2022).
Now, all of those eras have collided in a brand-new Batman project.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight (2026) is finally available across all major platforms after launching on May 22. And now, the full cast for the game has officially been confirmed.
Last year, we learned that Shai Matheson and Matt Berry would voice Bruce Wayne/Batman and Bane, respectively, in the game, but additional casting details were confirmed in an Instagram post shared by Matheson on release day.
“MEET THE CAST! LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is out TODAY, and we wanted to introduce you to the heroes and villains of Gotham City and the people that brought them to life,” the actor wrote. “Performances cast, recorded and directed at @sideglobal.”

The cast includes Colin McFarlane as Jim Gordon, Rich Keeble as Two-Face, Clara Emanuel as Catwoman, Savannah Beckford as Batgirl, Greg Jones as Robin, Harry Myers as Alfred, Ewan Bailey as The Joker, Ian Conningham as The Penguin, Alexandra Guelff as Poison Ivy, Oliver Senton as Mr. Freeze, and Matthew Curtis as The Riddler.
The hugely anticipated open-world title from TT Games and Warner Bros. Games pulls inspiration from every major Batman film adaptation while also incorporating elements from DC Comics, including the Absolute Batman series.
Set in its own DC universe, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight combines elements from multiple Batman eras into one sprawling Gotham City adventure. Players can explore locations such as Arkham Asylum and Ace Chemicals while using vehicles like the Batmobile and Batcycle.

Several iconic DC characters are also playable throughout the game, including Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul.
Meanwhile, Batman is entering one of the busiest periods in his 87-year history overall. Matt Reeves’ The Batman—Part II remains in development ahead of its planned October 2027 theatrical release, while DC Studios continues building its rebooted shared universe with The Brave and the Bold, which is expected to introduce a brand-new Batman separate from Robert Pattinson’s standalone continuity.
An animated adaptation of the iconic Batman: Knightfall comic storyline is also on the way later this year.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving later.
