One of Disney California Adventure's missing attractions is finally returning.
Disneyland Resort has updated its website to show operating hours for Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind beginning June 19, confirming that the attraction is set to reopen after an unexpectedly lengthy closure.
The family ride has been unavailable since February.
While attraction refurbishments are common across Disney parks, closures are usually accompanied by an estimated reopening window. Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind was originally scheduled to close for just two days before the timeline quietly stretched into months.
Disney never publicly explained why the attraction remained closed.
The attraction opened in 2019 as part of Pixar Pier, replacing Flik's Flyers following the closure of A Bug's Land.
Based on Pixar's Inside Out franchise, the ride sees guests board Memory Movers and spin around the Imagination Institute while collecting colorful memory orbs inspired by different emotions.
Disney Ride Spends Months Behind Construction Walls
For much of its closure, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind sat behind purple construction walls.
Guests visiting Disney California Adventure were unable to see what work was taking place, and Disney did not provide updates on the project.
The attraction had also undergone a shorter refurbishment earlier this year, closing from January 5 through January 23 before reopening.
When it closed again in February, the refurbishment was initially listed as lasting just two days.
Instead, the attraction remained shut down throughout spring and into the start of the busy summer season.
Earlier this week, guests reported seeing the ride operating again, suggesting testing was underway ahead of its reopening.

Construction walls were still visible around the attraction as recently as yesterday.
Disney has not confirmed whether any major changes were made to the ride during the closure.
Disneyland Resort Ride Refurbishments Continue
The reopening comes as several Disneyland Resort attractions remain unavailable.
At Disney California Adventure, Silly Symphony Swings is currently closed for refurbishment.
Over at Disneyland Park, Pirates of the Caribbean (plus Blue Bayou) also remains closed, with Disney yet to announce a reopening date.
Another attraction is already scheduled to return later this summer.
Matterhorn Bobsleds is currently set to reopen on July 24 after an extended refurbishment at Disneyland Park.
The reopening of both attractions will add capacity back to the resort during one of the busiest times of the year.
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind may not be among Disney California Adventure's biggest attractions, but it fills an important role in the park's lineup.
The park has long been known for attractions aimed at older guests, including Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! and Incredicoaster.
Its closure temporarily removed one of the park's family-friendly options for younger visitors.
