Guests visiting EPCOT this week are encountering an unexpected change at one of the park's most iconic attractions.
The American Adventure remains open, but its familiar entrance area no longer looks quite the same. Disney has temporarily blocked access to portions of the pavilion's standard entry corridor as crews move forward with visible work ahead of this summer's major celebrations.
The result is a dramatically different first impression for guests approaching the attraction.
White Structures Take Over Entrance Area
The most noticeable change involves several columns located directly beside The American Adventure's main entrance.
Disney has enclosed the columns within large white coverings, creating temporary barriers that alter the appearance of the pavilion's front entrance.
Additional coverings have also appeared on columns near Regal Eagle Smokehouse, extending the visual impact beyond the attraction itself.
While guests can still enter the attraction, the usual open appearance of the entrance area has clearly been modified.
