Construction walls have come down from the pool deck at Disneyland Resort‘s Pixar Place Hotel, but, unfortunately, guests hoping to soak in the hot tub will have to keep waiting.
The Walls Are Down, but the Water Is Off-Limits
On July 7, WDWNT reported that the construction barriers surrounding the hot tub area on the third-floor pool deck at the Pixar Place Hotel have been removed, offering the first clear look at the refurbished outdoor space since the project began in mid-May. The outlet shared a photo of the completed area, revealing the large circular whirlpool — positioned beneath a permanent light canopy — alongside refreshed pool deck tiles, updated light fixtures, and reinstalled decorative elements.
Despite the construction walls coming down after more than a month of work, the hot tub itself remains closed to guests. A sign posted near the filled whirlpool describes it as “temporarily unavailable” and directs guests to speak with a lifeguard for an approximate reopening time. The surrounding areas — including the main Pixar Place Pool and the Pixar Shorts Court — are fully accessible.
Disneyland Resort has not provided a specific timeline for when the hot tub will be available to guests.
One of Several Pool Projects This Year
The hot tub closure is the latest in a series of pool-area refurbishments at the Pixar Place Hotel in 2026. Earlier this year, Disneyland Resort also refurbished the main Pixar Place Pool, Crush's Surfin' Slide, and the Nemo & Friends splash pad — all of which have since reopened. The hot tub project appears to be a separate effort rather than a continuation of those earlier refurbishments.
The Pixar Place Hotel is one of Disneyland Resort's newer properties, opening in 2024 following the transformation of the former Paradise Pier Hotel.
