The American Adventure World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT is going through a visible transition right now. The combination of post-holiday damage, active repairs, and the departure of a long-running temporary exhibit means the pavilion looks noticeably different from how it did just a few weeks ago.
The Damage Left Behind

When Walt Disney World Resort stripped the patriotic signage from the American Adventure Pavilion's exterior following the July 4 weekend, it revealed a less-than-glamorous situation on the building's iconic white columns. Chipped paint, adhesive residue, and at least one metal anchor torn clean out of the column during removal — exposing the building material underneath — were among the most visible signs of what the holiday decorations had left behind.
Additional paint damage inside the building accompanied the removal of the Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief's Tribute to America's Warriors exhibit, the gallery of military veteran portraits painted by former President George W. Bush that had extended its run through Independence Day weekend.
The Repairs Now Underway

On Tuesday, WDWNT reported that Walt Disney World Resort had installed white refurbishment boxes around the four most damaged columns on the exterior of the American Adventure Pavilion, shielding the active repair zones from guest view. The boxes don't cover everything — damage remains visible beneath the “Liberty Theatre” sign, suggesting the work is still in progress rather than nearing completion.
Inside the building, paint patching is also underway in the areas where the Portraits of Courage exhibit was displayed.
The repair effort aligns with a construction permit Walt Disney World Resort filed for the American Adventure Pavilion last week, naming Tecta America Corp. as the third-party contractor. The company's specialties include commercial roofing, architectural metals, and waterproofing — all capabilities applicable to exterior column restoration work.

Walt Disney World Resort has not commented publicly on any aspect of the ongoing construction. The American Adventure audio-animatronic show and Voices of Liberty performances are both continuing on their normal schedules throughout the repair period.
