Every guest has a story about an employee who made their vacation better. Maybe someone helped solve a problem, offered directions at the perfect moment, or turned an ordinary interaction into a memorable one. Universal Orlando Resort is now giving guests an official way to recognize those employees through a brand-new feature inside its mobile app.

The new “#UOFistBump” option allows visitors to submit compliments for Team Members who deliver exceptional guest service, adding another helpful tool to the resort's growing list of app features.
Recognizing Great Service Takes Just Minutes
Guests can access the feature by scrolling to the bottom of the Universal Orlando app's home screen.
Under “Helpful Tools,” they'll find the new “#UOFistBump” option. From there, they simply complete a short form with the Team Member's name, where the interaction occurred, and a message explaining why that employee deserves recognition.

It's a quick process, but one that could have a meaningful impact for employees who work hard to create positive guest experiences every day.
The Best Memories Aren't Always About Attractions
Roller coasters and shows often get the attention, but many vacations are remembered because of the people guests meet along the way.
A Team Member who helps recover a lost item, patiently answers questions from first-time visitors, or takes extra time to assist someone having a difficult day can leave just as lasting an impression as any attraction.
Recognition programs give guests an opportunity to acknowledge those moments instead of simply moving on with their vacation.
Universal's new feature encourages visitors to slow down for a moment and recognize the employees who helped make their day better.
Following a Familiar Formula
The concept will likely feel familiar to many longtime theme park fans.
Disney introduced its Cast Compliment system years ago, allowing guests to recognize Cast Members directly through Disney's mobile apps. The program has become popular among frequent visitors who enjoy highlighting exceptional service whenever they visit the parks.
Universal is now embracing a similar approach by making employee recognition easier and more accessible through its own app.

The move reflects how both companies continue investing not only in attractions and entertainment but also in guest service.
A Small Update With a Big Purpose
Universal's app has become an essential companion for guests planning their day, offering everything from attraction wait times to mobile food ordering.
The addition of “#UOFistBump” may not change how guests experience attractions, but it adds another useful feature that puts the spotlight on the people who keep the resort running every day.

As Universal continues expanding its Orlando destination, including the addition of Epic Universe, recognizing exceptional Team Members becomes another way to reinforce the importance of great service.
Sometimes the smallest additions end up having the biggest impact, and giving guests an easy way to say “thank you” could become one of those welcome improvements.
