A three-week mystery on Main Street, U.S.A., at Magic Kingdom Park has come to an end.
The Curtains Come Down
On Wednesday, WDWNT reported that the black curtains that appeared in late July over the custom glass-blowing station at Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers on Main Street, U.S.A., had been removed. The outlet shared a photo of the restored workspace, which shows the station looking largely as it did before the curtains went up. The wooden railing separating the artist's area from the guest viewing space is still in place, and no obvious changes to the setup are apparent.
Walt Disney World Resort never explained what prompted the three-week curtain installation, and no statement accompanied their removal either. The most likely explanation is routine maintenance on the glass-blowing equipment or other elements of the workspace — the kind of behind-the-scenes work that doesn't warrant a public announcement, especially when the rest of the merchandise location remained accessible to Disney Park guests throughout.
What's Back on Main Street, U.S.A.
With the curtains gone, guests can once again pull up to the wooden railing and watch skilled artists handcraft custom blown-glass pieces at the Magic Kingdom Park location, including ornaments, pumpkins, and other personalized souvenirs.
The glass-blowing station's return brings back something that very few other experiences anywhere in Walt Disney World Resort can replicate: the chance to watch a piece of personalized art being made by hand, right in front of you, in the heart of the original Central Florida Disney park.
Arribas Brothers maintains additional locations across Walt Disney World Resort, including Disney Springs, the Germany and Mexico World Showcase Pavilions at EPCOT, and Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park, selling a mix of Disney-inspired and classic glass-blown souvenirs alongside tiaras and jewelry.
