There is a new cars play table inside Test Track Gear Shop at EPCOT. Five cars, including Lightning McQueen.
Some context.
Look, EPCOT has never been the easy park for little kids. That is not an insult, just reality. The place was built around ideas, and ideas do not hold a four-year-old's attention for very long.
World Showcase is a walk. Spaceship Earth is slow. Every real thrill has a height requirement. And Test Track sits at 40 inches, which knocks out a serious chunk of the youngest guests before they even get in line.
Parents figure out workarounds. Find the splash pad. Find the shade. Find the corner of a shop where a kid can burn ten minutes without melting down.
Disney just built one of those corners, and the placement is genuinely clever.
What It Actually Is
Metal table. Blue play surface. Neon yellow stripe running the border.
Five cars sitting on it for kids to grab, Lightning McQueen included.
The silver legs have angled panels in bright yellow and blue, which pulls the whole thing into the color scheme running through Test Track since the reimagining.
Point being, it looks designed. A folding table with some toys dumped on it would have read as an afterthought. This does not.

Now, the Location
Test Track Gear Shop is where you exit the attraction. Natural gathering spot.
Think about how a mixed-age family actually moves through here. Older kids and adults ride. Anybody under 40 inches does not. Somebody has to wait with them, and that somebody ends up standing in or right outside the shop while everyone else finishes up.
That kid now has something to do besides asking how much longer roughly forty times.
Works the other direction, too. Kid rides, gets off completely wired about cars, and wants to keep going. The table catches that energy instead of letting it evaporate in a checkout line.
Yes, There Is a Sales Angle
Worth saying out loud.
The new Disney Racers toys are sold in this exact shop. Die-cast cars inspired by Disney attractions and characters, including Space Mountain, Tron Lightcycle / Run, and the Monorail.
Putting a car play table in the store that sells car toys is not an accident. A kid rolling Lightning McQueen around for five minutes is absolutely going to spot the shelf.
That said, this is about as gentle as that tactic gets. The table is free. No purchase is involved. And it actually helps parents, which is more than you can say for most retail-adjacent kid bait.
Test Track Keeps Changing
The table is just the latest tweak around here.
Test Track reopened last year after a reimagining that ditched the futuristic look of the previous version and leaned into transportation history and the original World of Motion attraction that used to sit here. Longtime fans got something familiar back, and the high-speed finale survived.
Then the General Motors showroom at the exit got refreshed. Most vehicles on the right side were swapped out, mostly for 2026 models with one 2027 in the mix.

The Test Track Exit Is Not a Boring Anymore
Stack it all up and something interesting shows up.
Current-year vehicles in the showroom. A fresh line of attraction-inspired die-cast cars in the shop. And now a table where kids can actually push them around.
That is, every age in a family group is covered. Adults gawking at the Corvette. Teenagers at the 2027 Cadillac. Little kids on the floor with Lightning McQueen.
For an exit that used to be something you walked through, that is a real shift.
Meanwhile, Everywhere Else in EPCOT
This is one small piece of a much bigger stretch of activity.
Germany and Canada are both dealing with updates and construction, which adds to the visible work as you circle World Showcase.
Mexico lost the wood shop that once sat inside the pyramid.
France got new props on Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. Much smaller, but proof Disney keeps fiddling with existing spaces while the big projects grind along.
If You Are Going To Test Track
Traveling with little kids while somebody in your party rides Test Track? The gear shop just became a legitimately useful place to park yourself.
Five cars, an actual play surface, and air conditioning. On a September afternoon in EPCOT, that is not nothing.
Nobody announces stuff like this. It is usually what parents end up appreciating the most.
