Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is preparing for a notable reopening on September 30, but Walt Disney World is removing several familiar items before guests return.
The Turf Club Bar and Grill will reopen following its refurbishment with an updated menu. While the restaurant itself retains its familiar racing-inspired identity, Disney has made numerous changes to what guests can order.
That includes removing appetizers, entrées, enhancements, desserts, and drinks from the previous lineup.
Disney Removes Several Turf Club Offerings
One of the first removals guests may notice is the Onion Ring Tower. The appetizer has disappeared from the updated menu, while Crispy Chicken Wings have been added.
The changes become even larger when moving into the entrées.
The Bourbon-Apple Glazed Pork Chop has been removed and replaced by Braised Pork Shank with New York cheddar grits and bacon-bourbon glaze.
Disney has also removed the Char-grilled New York Strip Steak, replacing it with a Char-grilled Butcher’s Steak.
The Tempura-fried Hen of the Wood Mushroom is disappearing in favor of Spinach and Mushroom Linguini, while Corn Flake-breaded Fried Chicken and Waffle replaces the previous Buttermilk-fried Herb Chicken.
Guests will also lose several optional enhancements. Caramelized Scallops with Bacon Glaze, Parmesan-crusted Shrimp, and the Turf Club Butter Board have all been removed.
Still, the changes don't mean Disney has eliminated everything guests recognize. Slow-roasted Prime Rib, the Turf Club Burger, Pappardelle Shrimp Pasta, and other selections remain part of the lineup.

An Entire Dessert Lineup Disappears
Perhaps the most dramatic removals involve dessert.
Disney has revamped the entire dessert menu ahead of the reopening.
The Signature Chocolate Cake, New York-style Cheesecake, Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée, and Seasonal Cobbler are all gone.
Their replacements include Chocolate-Hazelnut Cake, Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, Salted Caramel Pot de Crème, and a plant-based Apple Tart.
The beverage menu has received attention, too. Sparkling Lavender Rosé has been removed, while the Millionaire Margarita has been replaced by the Winner’s Circle Margarita.
Guests will also find new additions such as the Saratoga Cocktail, New York Old Fashioned, and Grandstand Martini.
The changes arrive as Disney finishes bringing this section of Saratoga Springs back online. The Turf Club Lounge reopened last month, while The Turf Club Bar and Grill returns September 30.
The restaurant will continue its turn-of-the-century Upstate New York and racing-inspired theme, complete with equestrian touches and views toward the golf course, Lake Buena Vista, and Disney Springs.
The Turf Club may be returning, but Disney isn't simply reopening the doors and picking up exactly where it left off. Guests will find a substantially different menu waiting for them when the restaurant welcomes diners again.
