Disney’s royal wardrobe is changing again.
Disney Princess costumes have never been completely frozen in time. Across Disney’s theme parks, characters including Snow White, Cinderella, Jasmine, Moana, and Tiana generally retain their recognizable movie looks, but their outfits have repeatedly been adjusted for live appearances.

Sometimes those changes are subtle. Materials, detailing, silhouettes, and accessories can differ from their animated counterparts, allowing costumes to function more effectively during character meet and greets, parades, stage shows, and other performances.
Jasmine underwent one of Disney’s most noticeable costume updates in 2016. Her original Aladdin (1992) design features a turquoise crop top and harem pants, leaving her shoulders and midriff exposed.
Disney’s revised theme park version introduced long sleeves, a higher neckline, and a full-length top. The character retained her pants, while a floor-length sheer overskirt added another layer to the redesigned costume.
Pocahontas and Mulan are among other characters whose theme park wardrobes have evolved over the years, making Disney Princess costumes an interpretation of their screen appearances rather than exact recreations.

Now, another immediate wardrobe change has arrived for four princesses performing at a Disney park.
Disney Introduces New Princess Costumes for Winter
Disneyland Paris has introduced new winter outfits for the Disney Princess Cavalcade at Disney Adventure World.
According to DLP Report, the new costumes have already entered use as temperatures begin to drop in France. The updated outfits provide performers with additional coverage as the production continues into the colder months.

The change affects a relatively new Disney production. Disney Princess Cavalcade officially debuted at Disney Adventure World on July 24, 2026, following roughly a year and a half of development and 287 hours of rehearsals.
Disney designed the production to operate throughout the year rather than as a limited summer offering. It runs several times daily around Adventure Bay, the large lake at the heart of the transformed second Disneyland Paris park.
Rapunzel, Moana, Raya, and Tiana each travel aboard a float inspired by their respective films. Disney said its teams drew from the characters’ animated movies, as well as architectural and cultural influences connected to their stories, when creating the floats and costumes.
The route takes the princesses around Adventure Bay before reaching The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge and returning toward its starting point.

Partway through the cavalcade, the characters leave their floats for an interactive performance. Moana demonstrates movements inspired by traditional Pacific Islands dance, while Raya performs choreography influenced by martial arts. Selected guests can also participate alongside the performers.
Disney Princess Outfits Are Already Changing at the Park
The winter costumes are the latest example of Disney Adventure World giving its princesses looks specifically designed for the park rather than relying exclusively on their familiar movie wardrobes.
When The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge opened earlier in 2026, Disney introduced another collection of alternate Princess costumes as part of the dining experience.
Disney describes the location as the princesses’ summer residence, where characters can gather away from their usual adventures. The concept deliberately gives them different outfits from those typically worn elsewhere in Disney parks.

Characters represented throughout the restaurant include Moana, Merida, Jasmine, Cinderella, Snow White, Raya, Belle, Aurora, and Ariel. Disney Princess characters also make appearances during meals, although Disneyland Paris does not guarantee which individual princesses guests will meet.
The Disney Princess Cavalcade takes a different approach. Its costumes were developed specifically alongside the new parade floats and choreography, with Disneyland Paris’ creative costume team designing the looks before they were produced in France.
The newly deployed cold weather versions allow that production to continue as the seasons change without abandoning the visual identity established when it debuted in July.
