October is underway at Walt Disney World, and Annual Passholders finally have their first Good to Go Day of the month.
Disney has designated Tuesday, October 6, 2026, as a Good to Go Day, allowing eligible Annual Passholders to visit the theme parks without securing a park reservation first.

For frequent visitors, that can turn what normally requires some advance planning into a much more spontaneous Disney day.
October 6 is currently the only Good to Go Day announced for the month, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will stay that way.
Disney added numerous dates throughout September, giving Passholders reason to keep watching the calendar as October continues.
Passholders Can Skip One Planning Step on October 6
On October 6, eligible Annual Passholders can enter Walt Disney World's theme parks without making a theme park reservation.
That applies to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
There are still restrictions.
Annual Pass blockout dates continue to apply, and admission remains subject to capacity. Good to Go status doesn't guarantee entry regardless of the circumstances.
What it does provide is flexibility.
A Passholder who wakes up on October 6 and decides to visit EPCOT doesn't need to make a park reservation first. The same applies to someone who suddenly wants to spend the morning at Disney's Animal Kingdom or head to Disney's Hollywood Studios.
For Passholders who make frequent trips, eliminating that extra planning step can be particularly convenient.
Don't Confuse Good to Go Days With the 2 P.M. Rule
Good to Go Days aren't the only way Annual Passholders can visit without reservations.
On many regular dates, Passholders can enter Walt Disney World theme parks after 2 p.m. without making a reservation.
Magic Kingdom has a major exception. Annual Passholders still need reservations for Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays, even when they arrive after 2 p.m.

Good to Go Days are different because Passholders aren't required to wait until the afternoon.
October 6 allows eligible Passholders to arrive in the morning and potentially spend the entire day at a park without making a reservation.
October 1 through October 5 were not designated as Good to Go Days, meaning the standard reservation rules remained in place.
September Shows How Quickly Things Can Change
Passholders shouldn't necessarily look at the current October calendar and assume October 6 will be their only Good to Go opportunity.
September started with a handful of dates and eventually finished with 11 Good to Go Days.
Those dates included September 2, 3, 8, 10, 14, 15, 16, 23, 24, 28, and 29.
July also had 11 dates, while August had six.
The number can vary considerably from month to month.
That unpredictability is why Passholders may want to continue checking for changes, particularly if they have flexibility in their Walt Disney World plans.
Disney could potentially add another date that makes a previously planned reservation unnecessary.
Disney Handles Existing Reservations Automatically
There's also good news for anyone who already made an October 6 park reservation.
Passholders don't have to go into My Disney Experience and cancel it themselves.
When a date becomes a Good to Go Day, Disney automatically removes the reservation requirement for Annual Passholders who already booked that day.

The plans may still appear in My Plans, but the reservation no longer counts against the maximum number of park reservations that the Passholder can hold.
That means Passholders don't lose a valuable reservation slot simply because Disney changed the rules for that particular date.
October 6 May Be Just the Beginning
Disney hasn't announced a long list of October Good to Go Days yet.
Right now, October 6 stands alone.
But Passholders have seen this calendar change throughout 2026, with Disney adding reservation-free opportunities at different points during the year.
That's what makes the latest update worth watching beyond a single Tuesday.
October 6 gives Passholders their first reservation-free date of the month. More importantly, it starts the October calendar and opens the possibility that additional dates could appear later.
For Annual Passholders who prefer spontaneous Walt Disney World visits, checking the Good to Go calendar could pay off.
The next reservation-free Disney day may be added when they least expect it.
