Okay, be honest, Disney fans. How many bag charms are hanging off your purse right now? If the answer is “a lot,” this one’s for you.
Walt Disney World just opened a new create-your-own “Charmed in the Park” station, and it lets you build your own bracelets, necklaces, bag charms, and more with individual Disney charms. You pick every single piece. It’s basically a Disney fan’s dream craft session.
Bag Charms Are Everywhere Right Now
If you’ve been anywhere in the last two years, you’ve seen it. Bag charms are on purses, backpacks, keychains, you name it. Before that, it was all about friendship bracelets, especially swapping them at concerts and events. Then bag charms swooped in and totally took over.
So Disney jumping on this trend? Honestly, not surprised. And we’re kind of obsessed.
So What Changed?
Charmed in the Park items have been around for a bit, but before this, you could only buy them as packs or builder pieces. So you didn’t really get to choose every charm.
Now, with the new build-your-own station, you get full control. Want all princesses? Go for it. Only Mickey? Done. A random mix of everything you love? That’s the whole point.
Here’s What You Can Make
The station has four sides, and each side has the same products and charms. So you don’t have to fight anyone for the good spot. Love that.
On the rack, you’ll find starter pieces for bracelets, necklaces, pins, bag charms, phone straps, and keychains. So whether you’re a bag charm person or more of a phone strap girlie, there’s something for you.
Let’s Talk Charms
Under the rack, there’s a whole tray of individual charms in both gold and silver. They’ve got nods to the parks, Disney icons, and more.
There are Disney princess charms and Mickey Mouse charms, which, of course. But here’s our favorite find: a Gertie the Dinosaur charm with a snowy back. If you know who Gertie is, you know this is a deep cut, and we love it.
When you walk up, grab one of the white trays to hold your picks while you build. It’s super easy and kind of relaxing, honestly.
How Much Does It Cost?
Here’s the money talk. Individual charms are $10 each. But if you buy three, they drop to $8 each. So yeah, buying three is the move.
Prices for the starter pieces are posted right on the rack with all the customizable items. Just a heads up that charms can add up fast once you get going. Not that we’re judging.
Where Is It?
You’ll find the Charmed in the Park station inside Trend-D at Disney Springs. And the best part? You don’t need a park ticket to get to Disney Springs, and parking is free. So you can totally make a whole night of it with some shopping and snacks.
It Makes a Great Gift Too
If you have a friend who collects bag charms, this is an easy win. Make them one with their favorite characters or a charm that reminds you of a trip you took together. It’s way more personal than grabbing something off a shelf.
Not the Only Build-Your-Own Spot
Disney has been adding more of these customizable keepsake stations. You can also make your own gingerbread cookie ornament in the Germany pavilion at EPCOT. So if you love a craft moment, Disney’s got you.
Quick Tips
Decide if you’re team gold, team silver, or both before you start. Have a few favorite characters in mind so you’re not standing there forever. Buy charms in threes to save a couple bucks. And try going on a weekday afternoon if you want more space to browse.
Go Get Charmed
Whether you’re a bag charm collector, a friendship bracelet fan, or just someone who loves Disney souvenirs, this station is a fun little stop at Disney Springs. And let’s be honest, one charm is never enough.
So, who’s heading to Trend-D?
