Robert Pattinson could be trading Gotham City for the world of 007, with the actor now having reportedly screen-tested to become the next James Bond.
The Hollywood Reporter says Pattinson has emerged as a contender for the iconic role as Amazon MGM Studios searches for the actor who will follow Daniel Craig.
Craig played Bond across five movies, from Casino Royale (2006) to No Time to Die (2021).

Pattinson is already familiar with blockbuster reinvention. He became internationally known as Edward Cullen in the Twilight films before taking on more varied projects, including Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
His portrayal of Bruce Wayne made him the latest actor to bring the Dark Knight to the big screen — and now he could be in the running to play another of cinema’s most recognizable heroes.
But, of course, he's not the only name linked to the role. Callum Turner, known for Eternity, Jack Lowden of Slow Horses, and Josh O’Connor, whose credits include Disclosure Day, have all been mentioned among the reported contenders.

Nicholas Hoult, who played Lex Luthor in Superman (2025), has also reportedly emerged as a candidate, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Pattinson is next expected to appear in Dune: Part Three, arriving this December. The film unites him with director Denis Villeneuve, who's also set to direct the next 007 movie, commonly referred to as Bond 26.
The new film is being written by Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders, and produced by Amy Pascal (Spider-Man: Brand New Day) and David Heyman (the Harry Potter films). Pascal said in August that an announcement about the next Bond actor could come before the end of the year.
Amazon MGM has not confirmed Pattinson’s involvement or commented on the reported screen tests. For now, the actor remains one intriguing possibility in a race that is still wide open.
