12 Things That Could make Your Disney World Vacation Absolutely Miserable

7. Pushing Kids Too Hard

If your child normally eats lunch at eleven, naps from one to three, and is in bed by eight, he’s probably not going to do well eating lunch at one, riding rides all afternoon, and staying in the park to see the fireworks. Instead of a magical, fun day, it’s likely that your child will be overly tired and cranky, and the rest of the family will be miserable. I see examples of overly tired kids on every trip I make to a Disney park. Resist the temptation to try and do it all (see #1) and take breaks. Stick to usual mealtimes, naps, and bedtimes if you can, and everyone will have more fun.

Laurel

Laurel took her first trip to Walt Disney World when she was only 18 months old and hasn’t stopped visiting since. Now she enjoys taking her own twins and husband as often as she can. And don’t tell the boys, but sometimes she goes without them, too.
