Tips to Scoring the Best Dining Reservations

With the increasing popularity of Disney vacations, guests are no longer able to walk into a restaurant and find a table. Prior to embarking on their Disney vacations, guests must sit down and figure out advanced dining reservations, FastPass+ reservations, in addition to resort reservations.  However, there are tips to help score the best dining reservations for your trip and here are five to help you find the best!

Reserve Early

Disney is very clear that guests may begin making advance dining reservations 180 days before their arrival on property.  Disney also gives guests an additional 10 days on top of that meaning you don’t have to wait 180 days for each day of your vacation.  We recommend making your advanced dining reservations as close to that 180 day mark as possible.  Additionally, you may want to try and get those harder to get reservations later on in your trip (past the 180 day mark) so you have a better chance at getting a table!

Break Up Large Parties

Depending on the size of your family, you may want to consider breaking up larger parties to try and get smaller tables.  Rather than a party of eight, you may want to see if you can find two tables of four.  Generally, you’ll be able to find that with reservations times either identical or close to one another.  You can also let the host or hostess know you are with another party and they will attempt to either combine the tables or sit you close to one another.
