A Guide to Walt Disney World’s Moderate Resorts

3. Port Orleans French Quarter

Nestled on the Sassagoula River between Disney Springs and the Magic Kingdom, Port Orleans French Quarter is the smallest moderate resort — it has only one bus stop at the main building.  However, what it lacks in size, it certainly makes up for in theming and attitude!  Guests will walk along pathways that evoke the heart of the French Quarter in New Orleans.  Adding to this feeling are intimate details — wrought iron fences, cobblestoned streets, and horse-drawn carriage rides.  One drawback of this resort is that there is no table service restaurant for guests to dine at, but it is located within walking distance of Port Orleans Riverside, so food is never too far away.  Two big bonuses of this resort also include a great main pool and classic, New Orleans beignets!
