A Guide to Walt Disney World’s Moderate Resorts

2. Port Orleans Riverside

Located next door to Port Orleans French Quarter, Riverside invites guests into the old South with antebellum architecture, as well as low country culture.  Riverside suffers from the same large footprint, so navigating the resort could prove difficult depending on your room placement, but guests are sure to love Ol’ Man Island – the main pool area with a phenomenal slide and bar.  In the main building, guests can grab a great dinner at Boatwright’s Dining Hall, as well as enjoy some after-dinner drinks and a show at the River Roost Lounge featuring Yeehaw Bob!  Additionally, guests can take a relaxing boat ride from Port Orleans Riverside down to Disney Springs for a night out!  Guests looking for more out of their experience at Riverside can reserve one of the Princess rooms that were decorated by Tiana and Naveen and feature so many fun nods to the other princesses!
