A One-Day Plan for Walt Disney World's Epcot

FastPass+ Selections

In addition to the tiered opening, Epcot utilizes tiered FastPass+ selections so guests have to choose from one of the more popular attractions — Frozen Ever After, Test Track, or Soarin’ Around the World.  Regardless of the FastPass+ selection that you make, we recommend heading to one of the others as soon as you enter the park (preferably before 11 AM) so you can experience the attraction with minimal impact on the rest of your schedule in the park!

Nighttime Entertainment

You need to decide if experiencing the nighttime entertainment is important to you when visiting Epcot.  Guests begin staking their claim to prime viewing areas about an hour before the show begins.  Currently, guests are treated to Epcot Forever which features a nostalgic trip into the past for guests.  Soon to open, HarmoniUS will be another grand spectacle akin to IllumiNations that closed last year.  Regardless, know if you want to see the show and find a good vantage point – we like the bridge between the United Kingdom and France or the elevated platform in Canada!

Slow Go or Multiple Trips

Walking around World Showcase Lagoon is extremely relaxing, but before embarking on your trip around, decide if you are going to take multiple trips around or if you are making a solo trip so can you decide if you want to stop at the shops and snack stands in each country.  There is no right way to decide this one, but some of our favorite memories are from strolling around World Showcase with a snack (or drink) in our hand and no particular destination in mind!
