Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this Easter? If your next Walt Disney World vacation runs into the week after the Easter holiday, you will want to note some adjustments to previously listed operating hours for all four Disney theme parks.
Disney has been extending theme park hours regularly, especially around holiday weeks when crowd levels may be higher than usual, so it is no surprise that the end of April has become the most recent time to see a change to original park hours. If you are visiting Walt Disney World between April 17-23, 2022, here are the newly updated park hours:
The Magic Kingdom‘s closing time for the duration of the week has been extended to 11:00 pm, with the park’s opening time remaining at 9:00 am (early entry then would begin at 8:30 am.) Regular extended evening hours that are available for Guests staying at select Disney resort hotels will now run from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am on April 20, 2022.
The opening time for EPCOT has moved to 8:30 am, a change that could possibly remain as we get closer to the opening of the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction to accommodate increased crowds at the park. With the new opening time, early entry to EPCOT has been moved to 8:00 pm, and the park will continue to close at 9:00 pm as originally scheduled with the exception of April 23, when the closing time will be moved up to 8:00 pm.
Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have been pushed back to allow for the earlier opening time of 8:00 am with early entry starting at 7:30 am. If you were only planning on spending the evening in the park, there are no changes to note as the 9:00 pm closure remains.
And, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom hours have been extended for both opening and closing throughout the entire week. Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park will now open at 7:30 am with early entry allowing some Guests in as early as 7:00 am Closing time for the Disney Park has also been extended from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
If you have a trip to Walt Disney World coming up after the holiday, be sure to book your Park Pass reservations if you haven’t already as it is always possible for availability to book up during busy weekends at Walt Disney World. Hours are also subject to change, and you can find info on the go during your trip right on the My Disney Experience app. Happy planning!
