Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were both married when they met on the set of the Good Morning America show, GMA3: What You Need to Know. Their connection was instant, and their on-screen chemistry made them a hit with fans.

However, everything imploded in late 2022 when photos of the two news anchors made the front page. Despite the fact that they were married — Amy Robach to actor Andrew Shue and T.J. Holmes to attorney Marilee Fiebig — they seemed to be in a relationship.

Not long after the photos were made public, Holmes and Robach confirmed their relationship, but said that it did not start until they both separated from their spouses.

The popular news anchors were suspended from their jobs on GMA3 as an investigation was launched. Then, in early 2023, ABC News announced that the pair had been fired. Their affair ended up being the beginning of what would be the downfall of former ABC News President, Kim Godwin, who stepped down from her role at ABC earlier this year.

One year after their very public termination, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes announced that they were starting a new podcast with iHeart, called Amy & TJ. Since the launch, the couple has been very open about how they fell in love and what happened after they were fired. They believe that they were fired for love, but admitted that things got very dark for both of them, especially T.J. Holmes.

Despite the way their relationship started and the controversy surrounding it, the couple is still going strong, nearly two years later. And now, they are trying to become the competition for the network that fired them.

On September 15, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes kicked off a brand-new news program, one that is very similar to the work they did on GMA3: What You Need to Know. The show is called Morning Run with Amy & T.J. According to Robach, the show will cover everything from serious news to entertainment and pop culture.

Like Good Morning America, the show will run daily as an iHeart podcast.

It’s official! “Morning Run “ debuts today and will air Monday through Friday, bringing you daily news, entertainment and lifestyle headlines, keeping listeners informed and entertained every day of the workweek. This will be in addition to our bi-weekly podcast that features more in-depth conversations and interviews.
Hope everyone will check it out and start your day with us

While things appear to be going really well for Ms. Robach and Mr. Holmes, the same cannot be said for ABC News. According to a report from Page Six, the beloved news studio has been facing a “serious talent crisis” ever since firing the duo.

According to sources, the brass didn’t fully consider the bigger picture when they axed the former “GMA 3” anchors over their secret relationship.

“Losing them at ‘GMA 3’ wasn’t the point. They were the primary replacements for [flagship morning show] ‘Good Morning America’! That was their real value. Michael, George and Robin take 70 to 80 days off a year. You don’t get rid of people like that so quickly,” one source said.

“[ABC has] good correspondents, but they’re not stars. Linsey is not going to be the host of ‘GMA.’ She can easily be David’s replacement,” the source added.

ABC is owned by The Walt Disney Company, and neither has commented on the issues at ABC. Former President Donald Trump recently demanded Bob Iger “fire everybody” at ABC after a poor performance during his debate with Vice President Kamal Harris.

For years, ABC News was the top news outlet in the country. However, they recently fell behind NBC News for the first time in decades. However, it still remains one of the most reliable news networks in the business.

GMA3: What You Need to Know is currently being hosted by Demarco Morgan and Eva Pilgrim.
