An Overview of Magic Kingdom’s Deluxe Resorts

2. The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

The Grand Floridian is by far the most elegant and upscale resort of the bunch (and of Walt Disney World in general). We’d go so far as to say that it’s the crown jewel of the four!

Utilizing a modern take on classic Victorian design themes, and with well-maintained gardens and beautiful fountains for you to gaze at, this resort is consistently one of the finest places to take a peaceful stroll after a meal or at night. It’s well known for being an ideal place to hold a wedding ceremony, if that tells you anything.

The highlight of the Grand Floridian is its enormous multi-floor lobby, which often features live music played by an orchestra or pianist as you enjoy the shops and dining. During the holiday season, the lobby transforms into an even more beautiful place to behold—with yuletide lights and jazzy Christmas tunes galore—as well as becoming home to a life-size gingerbread house.

Of course, the Grand Floridian certainly also lives up to the “Spa” portion of its name thanks to Senses, a full-service spa and fitness center that will have you feeling delightfully relaxed, refreshed, and energized when it’s time for you to visit the parks. Treatments available at Senses include massages, facials, body therapies, and nail services.
