Disney World Animal Kingdom Lodge Dining Guide

Jiko
Animal Kingdom Lodge is comprised of two different resorts making up the whole resort: Kidani Village and Jambo House.  Guests will be able to find great dining options at either resort. The one drawback of this resort for guests not staying there is the distance from the other parks making it more difficult to stop by for a bite to eat unless you are using Disney’s MinnieVan service or using your own transportation to get around.  Here are the options awaiting guests at Animal Kingdom Lodge!

1. Sanaa (Kidani Village)

Open to guests for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Sanaa offers waffles, a breakfast platter, and a breakfast sandwich.  Lunch and dinner feature one of the most sought after appetizers on property — the bread service.  Tradional na’an is served to guests with their choice of accompaniments — roasted red pepper hummus, mango chutney, tomato-date jam, and many more! On the entrée menu, guests will find tandoori shrimp and chicken, a truly unique burger, South African sausage, or a design-your-own potjie.  Dinner also features additional entrees such as lamb shank, duck, as well as biryani (rice served with vegetables available with chicken or shrimp).  Desserts are plentiful and feature a variety of flavors, so be sure to save some room to sample these culinary creations!

2. Jiko – The Cooking Place (Jambo House)

A signature dining experience inviting guests to enjoy dinner and authentic African dishes in an amazing atmosphere!  Guests can enjoy appetizers such as African-spiced scallops, pork tenderloin, or a refreshing pear and watermelon salad!  You can also start your meal with a variety of artisanal cheeses.  On the entrée menu, guests will find a Moroccan lamb tagine, grilled filet mignon, Wagyu strip loin, Vulcan-spiced fish, elk loin, beef short rib, or a seafood curry.  A variety of African-inspired desserts also awaits guests at the end of their meal, so be sure to save some room!

3. Boma – Flavors of Africa (Jambo House)

Open to guests for breakfast and dinner, Boma is a buffet allowing guests to enjoy traditional and African-inspired dishes in a restaurant overlooking the savannah with grazing animals.  At breakfast, guests can enjoy enjoyable dishes such as French toast bread pudding, hand-carved turkey and ham, as well as breakfast potatoes and sweet plantains. Dinner features a wide selection of soups and stews, among the selection, a spicy Nigerian soup, a chicken-corn chowder, and a lamb stew.  Guests will find the same variety for salads, as well.  Chicken salad with a chili cilantro, an apple jicama salad, a Ghana tomato salad, and an avocado, grapefruit, and papaya salad.  As entrees, guests will be able to have roasted chicken, slow-roasted pork ribs, spice-crusted beef sirloin, and a variety of African selections.
