More and more Disney attractions or establishments have been reopening during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and Aunty’s Beach House at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa is now joining in with its own return! Aunty’s Beach House will reopen soon, and it has a slew of new things for Aulani Guests to look forward to.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, “Aunty’s Beach House at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, will reopen May 25, treating keiki (kids) ages 5-12 to fun and adventure and – for the first time – offering evening activities the whole family can enjoy”!
Aunty’s Beach House is meant to make Guests feel like they are in a normal Hawaiian hale (i.e. house) visiting their real “aunty”. This kids’ club features six rooms with a variety of activities, including digital entertainment like movies and computer labs as well as hands-on entertainment like arts, crafts, and games.
Aulani Guests with children can book 1.5 hours of complimentary activities for their children at Aunty’s Beach House between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily on the “Uncle’s Side” of the hale. Alternatively, you can book 2 hours on “Aunty’s Side” of the house for your children to enjoy “premium activities”.
The complimentary activities include interactive games and arts and crafts based on the day’s theme, while premium activities include Surf’s Up, which is “A Surfin’, Fishin’ and Dancin’ Party with Disney friends”. This program teaches children about marine life and surfing with the help of Goofy and Max!
Aunty’s Beach House is also introducing some brand-new evening fun for Aulani families! From 4 to 9 p.m., families can return to Aunty’s Beach House for ukulele lessons, animation lessons, and plenty of photo opportunities with surfing and tropical themes. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this establishment is requiring face coverings and social distancing. There will also be temperature checks, capacity limits, and extra distance between activity areas.
