Certain analysts, commentators, and fans have long had many issues with the Walt Disney Company. Some feel that Disney is trying too hard to please “woke audiences,” especially in light of the casting for the upcoming live-action remakes of The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan and Wendy, where Halle Bailey plays Princess Ariel and Yara Shahidi plays Tinker Bell. The criticism has been particularly making the rounds, especially after the controversy surrounding the “Don’t Say Gay” law, or the Parental Rights in Education law, which caused the Reedy Creek dispute that has been making headlines for over a year.

One of the most consistent comments of Disney’s “pandering” has been from audiences who don’t take too kindly to LGBTQ+ characters on screen. Many have spoken out about this previously; now, Ben Shapiro has added his voice to the mix. Shapiro shared on The Ben Shapiro Show,
“The great suspicion is that in Frozen 4, they’ll make Elsa a lesbian … If they do that, it is the end of Disney as a company. Predict it. You can write it down. It is April 17th. If they do that in Frozen 4, it will destroy Disney.”

However, fans and fellow Twitter users immediately took Shapiro to task for a slip-up. Outside of the fact that some criticized him for having “fan theories” about a children’s film, calling him a “loser,” and others questioned his audience. Yet others pointed out the more obvious mistake that Frozen 3 hasn’t even been released yet. One commenter questioned, “Adults listen to him complain about sequels to sequels of animated movies that don’t even yet exist?”
Watching this with the sound off, you would never know you were talking about the sexual preference of Disney cartoon character. You look so serious.

Fans and commenters were certainly unsupportive of Shapiro’s views.
When it comes to the world of Disney Theme Parks, the Mouse House has been working on Frozen-themed lands in Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Hong Kong Disneyland.
Progress has been steadily noted at each Theme Park, and fans are incredibly excited to get the chance to visit them when they do open. As of now, no Frozen-themed land has been announced for Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort.
