Biergarten in EPCOT Receives Readers’ Choice Award for Best German Restaurant by Orlando Magazine

Orlando Magazine just shared this year’s recipients of their annual awards program and a number of Walt Disney World restaurants made the cut! Each year, Orlando Magazine awards local restaurants based on 20 picks from their food editor and readers’ choice awards in 44 additional categories. This year, Biergarten in EPCOT’s Germany pavilion, received a Readers’ Choice Award for Best German Restaurant!

Biergarten is a totally unique dining experience as it comes not only with dinner, but also with authentic German beers and wine flights plus a live show! In the “before times” Guests could even take to the dance floor during some portions of the entertainment at Biergarten, and even now Guests are invited to join in by raising their glass (or liter of beer) and following along with the performers. (We expect dancing to return ~eventually~ when COVID-19 restrictions are effectively lifted.

The restaurant is also an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet, which is perfect for a variety of tastes including if you have any pickier eaters in your party so they can choose only what they’d like to eat (just make sure the nudel gratin is on their list because it is delicious! As is the apple strudel for dessert…) A lot of people are not often exposed to much German food aside from Bratwursts (at least in most areas of the country) so the setup of Biergarten is ideal for Guests who want to try a little bit of everything.

For drinks, if you know which kind of beer you’d like you can never go wrong with a liter. It is of course a lot of beer, but it does add to a true Oktoberfest experience. If you are not sure which beer you’d like or are interested in trying some German wine, we recommend going with a flight so you can taste a little bit of each variety.
