Severe weather is cutting Tuesday short at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, with the United Parks & Resorts destination announcing a two-hour early closure for the evening.
The Official Word From the Park

The Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Instagram account posted a story on Tuesday confirming the decision, with the message reading:
“Due to inclement weather, Busch Gardens will be closing tonight at 8:00 p.m. We hope to see you soon!”

The park's typical weekday closing time is 10:00 p.m. United Parks & Resorts also updated the official park calendar on its website to reflect the adjusted closure time. Meteorologists are forecasting severe heat and thunderstorms for the Tampa area on Tuesday evening.
What Guests Can Do About It

Guests who find their visit cut short by the early closure aren't without options. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay offers a Weather-or-Not Assurance program, specifically for situations like this. When inclement weather forces an early park closure, attractions are down for more than 60 minutes, or the heat index hits 110 degrees or higher, guests can visit Guest Services on their way out or submit a claim through the park's official online form to receive admission for a return visit. The claim must be submitted after the visit is complete rather than before or during.
What's Coming the Rest of the Week

The disruption is just for Tuesday evening. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is expected to return to its normal 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. schedule on Wednesday, July 1, and the Summer Nights seasonal event continues throughout the week. To honor Fourth of July weekend, the Wild Skies Drone and Fireworks Spectacular is scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Beginning July 6, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will shift to reduced hours, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, with most Fridays and Saturdays retaining the 10:00 p.m. closing time.
