X (formerly known as Twitter) user @saxontracks shared the footage on February 9, tagging Busch Gardens and jokingly asking:

What in the name of OSHA is happening here @BuschGardens?

OSHA regulations require proper fall protection, including harnesses and guardrails, when workers operate at heights on construction or maintenance projects. The video appears to show violations of those standards.

The social media user confirmed the video was filmed during the attraction's recent extended refurbishment period, before it reopened to guests:

This was work prior to reopening too

The footage shows two individuals climbing on the elevated tracks of the 4,400-foot roller coaster. Neither person appears to be wearing safety harnesses or appropriate head protection while at significant heights on the steel coaster structure.

Cheetah Hunt closed for refurbishment in late October 2025 and reopened in early February 2026, according to social media posts from Central Florida theme park guests. The video was filmed toward the end of that closure period.

Despite being directly tagged in the post, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has not publicly responded to the video or addressed the apparent safety violations.

Theme park fans expressed concern in replies to the social media post. X user @kacklingkraken wrote:

Busch Gardens is gonna get someone killed lol. Either guest or worker. Them and Hershey Park seem sketchy af to me when it comes to ride safety and maintenance. I do not trust those parks and will not visit them 😂

Busch Gardens markets Cheetah Hunt as Tampa Bay's longest roller coaster at 4,400 feet. The green-and-yellow steel coaster reaches 60 mph and features a 130-foot drop, designed to mimic the speed and movements of cheetahs.

Cheetah Hunt is currently operational. No injuries have been publicly reported related to the actions shown in the video.
