Universal CityWalk Orlando is preparing for the return of Cinnabon, as construction is well underway for a new permanent kiosk. Situated near Bigfire and Margaritaville, this new spot will once again serve the popular cinnamon rolls that fans have been craving.

The former Cinnabon storefront, along with Quiet Flight Surf Shop, permanently closed in April 2024, leaving a gap in CityWalk’s snack options. Though a new kiosk was expected to open within a few months, guests have instead relied on temporary Cinnabon stands throughout CityWalk for nearly a year. Now, the wait is almost over, as signage has been installed, and construction appears to be progressing quickly.
A sign posted on the construction walls promises that Cinnabon will be “Returning Soon” in 2025. The original location was removed to make way for an expansion of the Universal Studios Store, which has been undergoing major renovations. Though Universal has yet to announce an official opening date, the visible progress suggests that guests will soon be able to indulge in their favorite cinnamon treats again.
Universal Orlando’s 2025 Construction Boom
Beyond the Cinnabon kiosk, Universal Orlando Resort is undergoing a significant transformation, with new attractions and renovations happening across the resort. Here’s a look at some of the biggest projects expected to debut in 2025.
Epic Universe: The Park That Will Change Universal Forever
The biggest upcoming addition to Universal Orlando is Epic Universe, a brand-new theme park set to open in 2025. This ambitious expansion will introduce new lands such as Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.

The park is being built on a separate property and will introduce cutting-edge attractions, immersive experiences, and a unique hub layout connecting the various lands. Ride testing is already underway for some of the park’s major attractions, including Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and the highly anticipated Donkey Kong’s Mine Cart Madness coaster.
CityWalk’s Universal Studios Store Expansion
CityWalk is also undergoing changes beyond the Cinnabon kiosk. The previous Cinnabon storefront was absorbed into the expansion of the Universal Studios Store, which aims to offer a larger selection of exclusive Universal merchandise. The updated store is expected to feature a sleek, modern design with interactive displays, making it a must-visit shopping destination for guests.

Refurbishments and Construction Inside Universal Studios Florida
Inside Universal Studios Florida, multiple areas are currently under renovation. The On Location shop has been gutted, and Studio Sweets has closed, hinting at upcoming transformations. Meanwhile, the Jaws-themed bathrooms have had their exterior siding removed, fueling speculation about improvements in the surrounding area. While Universal has not provided details, these updates suggest that several areas of the park are getting much-needed enhancements.
Universal Orlando’s Exciting Future
With all of these projects in the works, 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for Universal Orlando. From the opening of Epic Universe to continued updates across CityWalk and the existing parks, guests can expect plenty of new experiences.

For those craving a Cinnabon fix, the new kiosk at CityWalk is just another reason to be excited. Soon, visitors will once again be able to enjoy warm, gooey cinnamon rolls in the heart of Universal Orlando. Stay tuned for more updates as the resort continues to evolve.
